What a Day?. Not a lot of Pr's.  Why?  Could it possible be that running16 200s Monday have an impact? Weather? Course?. Alignment of Planets?. I don't Know.
Look at your time from last year.   Notice any difference.  That is what you need to Focus  on. Example:  One Girl ran 15:10 last year at this race. At State she ran 13:38.

The next two weeks are going to be hard. Same mileage and adding speed workouts.
It time to get mental.  The body is willing is your mind willing too.  No short cuts. Hard work pays off. Do Your Homework. Do your conditioning and Stretch.

New quotes

The will to win means nothing without the will to prepare."

Running is the greatest metaphor for life, because you get out of it what you put into it."

Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."

Ask yourself: 'Can I give more?'. The answer is usually: 'Yes'

Every day is a good day when you run."

"We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort."

The will to win is important, but the will to prepare is vital.

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.

There is no 'Y' in running. Believe in the run

Run when you can, walk when you have to, crawl if you must; just never give up."

A runners see in the race what they carry in their heart

Little by little does the trick

Nobody's a natural. You work hard to get good and then work hard to get better

One must learn by doing the thing, for though you think you know it, you have no certainty until you try.

Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference.

If you don't like something change it;
if you can't change it,
change the way you think about it

People are not disturbed by things,
but by the view they take of them.

Determine that the thing can and shall be done,
and then we shall find the way

Latin sayings
Cemel Dosce" (Know Thyself)
"Carpe Diem!" (Seize the day
"Sine labore nihil" (Nothing without work)
Curro ergo sum (I run therefore I am)
"Veni, vidi, curroi" (I came, I saw, I ran.)
Sine Virtus, Sine Laus." (Approx. "No guts, no glory")
"Opus Dei" (The work of God)

Shirt Sayings

"Having a true faith is the most difficult thing in the world. Many will try to take it from you."

“Don't be afraid to give up the good to go for the great.”

Vision without action is a daydream. Action without vision is a nightmare.

All it takes is all you got.

The five S's of sports training are: Stamina, Speed, Strength, Skill and Spirit;
but the greatest of these is Spirit

Ability is what you are capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it.
